Welcome to our Website!
Thank you for visiting Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church website. I am Guy Thomas, interim pastor at the present time. I am excited to be serving here again. 40 years ago, my family and I moved to Horseshoe Bend with the purpose of planting a Baptist church. We started meeting at Southwood Shores condominium clubhouse with only a handful of people. This was a pure mission start not a church split. There was a wide circle of partnerships that made it possible to begin this new work. Missouri Baptist Convention, 3 associations, 40 individual churches, several individuals who contributed financially to the start, and several ission teams that came to help with construction of the building.
Since Covid-19 and the retirement of the previous pastor we are in a “rebuilding stage” at HBBC. We’ve already seen some growth since October with 5 joining by letter and one salvation. We’ve had several visitors over the last few weeks. One of our main goals is to be one of the “Friendliest Churches in the Lake area”. If you are looking for a church where people love one another and don’t have personal agendas you’ve come to the right place. We want to reach people for Christ! We are striving to work together to lift up Jesus to the Lake area. Check us out on Facebook or better yet come by and join us Sunday. We meet at 9:15am for Bible Study and we have classes for all ages. Also, our worship service is at 10:30am. There is a men’s breakfast and Bible study each Wednesday at 7:00am. Ethan and Adava Faber lead our youth group on Wednesdays at 6pm. I hope to see you in person soon.
